4620 12th Avenue

The project on 4620 12th Street was a new three-story two-family house with a cellar, adjoining garage, and elevator at eighty five by sixty feet. The proposed house consisted of two parts; a north west building and a southeast building with floor levels that did not match. This called for additional steel structure design to accommodate a multilevel foundation and floor plans.

A specific challenge was designing multiple bay windows, including one cantilevered bay window. In order to complete the underpinning of the adjacent property, we used a jack shoring system and a stepped footing design.
